Emeritus Reinsurance (Mozambique)
The company was registered on 7th March 2007 as ZimRe Mozambique, with Zimre Malawi, IGEPE, Continental Re and Emose as founding shareholders. The company commenced operations on 1st June 2007. Mozre is the first reinsurance company and the only resident reinsurance company in Mozambique. In 2009 the company changed its name to Mozre Moçambique Resseguros and due to the Group´s restructuring and repositioning exercise the company´s name is changing to Emeritus Resseguros. The company is part of the Emeritus Reinsurance Group with operations in Botswana, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
