Tarupiwa Tarupiwa is the Managing Director of Emeritus Reinsurance Zimbabwe, bringing over 20 years of distinguished reinsurance industry experience. He holds a Degree in Business Studies and an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) of London. Tarupiwa joined Zimre Group in 1997 and rose through the ranks to Managing Director. His strategic acumen drives excellence as Emeritus Re continues its trajectory towards Africa domination.
General Manager Technical
Siziwe Gwasira is the General Manager Technical of Emeritus Re Zimbabwe. He has more than two decades of comprehensive insurance and reinsurance underwriting experience. Siziwe brings significant expertise to the company. His professional affiliations include Fellowship with the Insurance Institute of South Africa and membership in the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa, demonstrating a commitment to industry excellence
Finance Manager
Blessing Marowa is the Finance Manager for Emeritus Re Zimbabwe. A highly skilled Chartered Accountant with 14 years of corporate experience in the insurance sector, he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe (ICAZ) and registered with the Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB). He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours Degree from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and a Certificate of Proficiency in Trusteeship from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe.
Head of ICT
Fadzanai Mupandenyama, the Head of ICT at Emeritus Reinsurance Zimbabwe, brings over two decades of experience in the reinsurance sector. He holds a Computer Science degree and an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe and has held a CISM certification. In his role, Fadzanai leads the company's digital initiatives, leveraging his extensive experience in successful local and regional project execution to meet the evolving digital needs of the business. He is also a member of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe.
Head of Facultative
Wellington Pawandiwa is the Head of Facultative for Emeritus Re Zimbabwe. He brings over 19 years of comprehensive reinsurance and insurance underwriting experience. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the National University of Science and Technology. His expertise includes crafting strategic underwriting plans, managing complex international reinsurance business, and delivering exceptional client service.
Life Administration Manager
Ignatius Munetsi is the Life Administration Manager for Emeritus Re Zimbabwe. He has over 17 years of experience in life reassurance. He holds a Master of Strategic Marketing Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and Bachelor of Commerce Honour Degree in Marketing Management from the Midlands State University. He is also an associate of the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe. Ignatius brings extensive knowledge in life reassurance administration, underwriting and claims handling.
Technical accountant
Vusi is the technical accountant for Emeritus Zimbabwe. He holds Higher National Diploma of Business Studies (Accounting) and has over 30 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry through which he has acquired specialized insurance technical accounting and credit control management
Underwriting Manager
Linda Zuze is the Underwriting Manager &Agronomist for Emeritus Re Zimbabwe. She holds a BSc Honours degree in Crop Science and is an Associate with the Insurance Institute of South Africa. With 17 years strong agriculture field work experience and 13 years insurance experience, Linda is an all-rounder in the insurance space with extensive knowledge in facultative, treaty and claims underwriting of all classes of business including agriculture insurance.
Life and Health underwriter
Chipo Mutsengi is our Life and Health Insurance Underwriter with over six years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Midlands State University and is an Associateship member of the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Zimbabwe. Her expertise includes underwriting Treaty, Facultative, GLA, ILA, Health, and Funeral Business, as well as claims processing, reinsurance treaty administration, and new product development.
Chairman
Wadzanayi is the Managing Director and Founder of Coronation Solutions (Private) Limited, a leading consulting firm providing Actuarial, Enterprise Risk Management, Financial & Corporate Advisory services in Zimbabwe and in the SADC region. She is an insurance and pension expert with over 20 years’ experience in Botswana, Malawi and Zimbabwe. She holds an MBA, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Diploma in Insurance and certifications in Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Management. Wadzanayi currently sits on the Boards of National Social Security Authority (NSSA), Smartvest Wealth Managers and Women in Insurance Zimbabwe.
Non-Executive Director
Stanley is a registered Chartered Accountant who has a passion for efficiency. His respect for corporate governance and creative attitude to finance have made him a reputable investment banker and strategist in Zimbabwe. He is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer for Zimre Holdings Limited (ZHL) and is responsible for the Group’s revived DNA characterized by innovative product diversification and the re-consolidation of ZHL’s heartland investments.

Timothy is a business executive with sales and marketing experience. He has held executive positions in many of Zimbabwe’s top Fast Moving Consumer Good (FMCG) companies such as Johnson&Flecher Limited, Cairns Holdings Limited and Astra Corporation Limited. He has also served as a non-executive director for a few insurance companies, namely Old Mutual Zimbabwe Limited, Royal Mutual Insurance Holdings Limited and CIMAS Medical Aid Society. Presently he is retired but serves on the Boards of Zimplow Holdings Limited and Diagnostics Imaging Center (Private) Limited.

Belmont is a banking executive with over 25 years of banking and financial services sector experience. He holds a Masters of Science Degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe. His entrepreneurial aptitude is demonstrated by the numerous high value trade finance transactions he has structured over the years on behalf of some of the country’s leading corporates. He is currently the Managing Director of Metbank Limited.
